The route of the Alcalá de Guadaíra tramway, currently under construction, has a double diagonal turnout designed and manufactured by Amurrio Ferrocarril y Equipos, S.A.
This turnout is located in the vicinity of one of the twelve stations on the route, and will allow the passage of a train from one of the two lines.
Work on the route is scheduled to be completed during 2017, and the line is scheduled to be put into operation in 2018.
The Alcalá de Guadaíra Metropolitan Tramway will link line 1 of the Seville metro with the municipality of Seville.
In total there will be 12 kilometers of tramway, with an international gauge track. The travel time, including stops, is estimated at 23 minutes for the entire route and is expected to serve about 80,000 users, which will facilitate mobility and intercommunication with the capital in a remarkable way.
