On Saturday, June 16th, the I Open Day of Amurrio Ferrocarril y Equipos, S.A. was held for active workers and their families. Throughout the day, several activities were organized, among which the following are worth mentioning:

Guided tours of the factory, in which the activities carried out in each section were explained. The visit to the Foundry pavilion was particularly interesting.
Activities and games for children.
A soccer championship on the El Refor field with teams from other companies (in which the Amurrio team was the winner).
A lunch for active workers.
A tribute with a diploma and honorary aurresku for those workers with more than 40 years in the company.
Mus Championship

The atmosphere throughout the day, which was accompanied by good weather, was excellent. More than 150 people, including workers and their families, attended the event in the morning.

Among the workers with more than four decades in the company was the president of the company, Josu de Lapatza Urbiola, to whom a special mention was made and who addressed a few words of thanks to those present. In addition to his position in Amurrio Ferrocarril y Equipos, Josu de Lapatza has held several public positions, such as the presidency of SEA (Sindicato Empresarial Alavés), vice-presidency of CONFEBASK, or the presidency of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Alava from 1998 to 2006.
